BabaFox runs babafox.com and its games, Ballpark and Letter Burn. This page explains what information the games use and why, in plain language.

The short version

If you create an account

Accounts are optional. If you make one, we store:

We use this only to sign you in and show your name on BabaFox. To stay signed in across babafox.com and the games, your browser keeps a sign-in cookie for babafox.com. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page, which permanently removes it.

What stays on your device

Both games save your progress, streaks, stats and settings in your browser's storage on your device. We can't see this information. You can delete it any time by clearing your browser's site data for the game.

What Ballpark sends to us

Ballpark sends a small amount of gameplay information to our database so it can show you how other players guessed. This includes:

If you report a problem with a question, we also receive the question, the answer shown, the reason you picked and any note you write. Please don't put personal information in the note.

If you turn on daily reminders, we store what your browser needs to send you a notification, plus the reminder time and time zone you choose. Turn reminders off in the game's settings and we stop sending them.

What Letter Burn sends to us

Nothing. Letter Burn runs entirely in your browser and doesn't send your answers or scores anywhere.

Services we use

We don't use advertising trackers. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in.

Children

The games are suitable for all ages and don't ask anyone for personal information.

Your choices

You can delete your account from the Account page, and clear your saved progress at any time from your browser settings. Clearing it also resets Ballpark's random player ID, so any future guesses can't be connected to your old ones.

Changes to this page

If we change how the games handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
